Description
Killiktee Killiktee
(b. 1987)
Killiktee Killiktee is an Inuit artist from Kinngait (Cape Dorset), Nunavut, working within a family deeply connected to the carving traditions of the community. The son of sculptor Shorty Killiktee and brother to well-known carvers Toonoo Sharky, Napachie Sharky, and Allasuaq Sharky, he began carving as a young teenager after watching his family members work. Killiktee produces sculptures and drawings that often focus on Arctic animals, particularly bears and birds. His drawings have also been translated into limited-edition prints through the Kinngait Studios program, continuing the community’s internationally recognized printmaking tradition.
