Kiliii Yuyan

Kiliii is a photojournalist of both Siberian Native and Chinese-American descent. His work focuses on Arctic photography, as well as Indigenous and Environmental issues.

Travelling to remote locations – Yuyan chronicles Indigenous cultures and wildlife. He also builds traditional Kayaks and is an active participant in the renewal of northern Indigenous culture.

His work is featured in a cover-story for the July 2022 edition of National Geographic and his photograph – Umiaq and North Wind was selected by the British Museum for their Arctic – Culture and Climate exhibition in 2021 to be used in promotion as well as for the  cover of the exhibits accompanying book.

He continues to work as a contributor to several publications including Time, Vogue and NPR.
